Around A.D. 610 in a cave outside Mecca, in what is now Saudi Arabia a trader named Muhammad is said to have had a visit from the angel Gabriel. The angel told him he was to become a prophet and revealed the first few words of what would become the holy book of Islam, the Quran.

Once in a lifetime each Muslim who is able must make a journey or trip to Mecca. The Islam religion has two main religious people the Sunnis and the Shi´ites. The Sunnis cover around 84%-90% muslim people. Shi´ites have about 10%–16% of Muslims.
This is Marji very confused about her beliefs of her religion. One side her wanting to be faithful to her religion but the other side she also doesn't want to be forced to wear the veil. Some Muslims also feel like this too, they do not want to be forced to wear their veils and feel like they should have their freedom on when and where they wear their veils.
some Muslim women also wear the niqab which is like the veil but covers your whole face except your eyes. You are not forced to wear the niqab but you may choose one over the other. They feel like it is necessary to wear the veil or the niqab is to be loyal to their god and to be more connected and interact more in their religion, it is a spiritual choice and an act or worship.
